Abolition Day is a free community building experience that attracts people from all demographics who would like to enjoy and partake in this one-of-a-kind event.
The National Black Doll Museum of History & Culture, one of the region’s most respected grassroots organizations highlighting African American and multicultural history, is preparing to host our second commemoration of Mansfield’s rich abolitionist history, standing up for freedom during the most tumultuous times in our country.
A day-long event held on October 6, 2018. Includes: vendors, community resources, musical performances, ethnic food trucks, kids activities, live cultural demonstrations (i.e basket weaving, African dancing, etc..) and more !
