HOMELESSNESS

“The first step to assist individuals experiencing homelessness within the New Bedford, Fall River, Taunton and Attleboro areas of Massachusetts is to make THE CALL: 1-800-HOMELESS (1-800-466-3537) from a 508 or 774 area code.”

Homes With Heart

Homes With Heart is a HUD grant–funded program under the auspices of Community Counseling of Bristol County and Attleboro Area Interfaith Collaborative.

Our organizations have worked together since 2010 on programming that assists with homelessness. The Homes With Heart program leases scattered site apartments in the greater Attleboro area that are accessible by public transportation. This program uses the Housing First model and offers services and treatment to people in their homes or, if the client is able, at a local provider. As members of Greater Bristol County / Attleboro / Taunton Coalition to End Homelessness (GBCATCH), CCBC and AAIC prioritize efforts around homelessness, housing, social justice and health equity.

  1. I am contacting you hoping to find help for my brother who is homeless and sleeping in his jeep since May of 2015. He had a fractured neck from a fall that was recently repaired and was sent to a Medical rehabilitation facility and was recently released. He is back sleeping in his car as he waits for SSI insurance because he cannot work and continues to try to get help to get on his feet and a place to live. I would appreciate any advise or help. Thank you so much for your time.

  3. Hello,
I am currently looking for housing. I have an eating disorder and was recently released from a program. I have been kicked out of my fathers house for two years with no contact, and have left my boyfriend’s parents house due to extreme stress from a toxic environment. Today I am leaving a Riverside crisis house, and I am unsure of where to go. I just need a stable environment so I can start working again, save for an apartment or sublet one, and to go back to nursing school. I have a lot of goals, but life has currently thrown me off course. Any assistance or advice is much appreciated.
